CLINICAL STUDY ON THE DIAGNOSIS OF LIVER DISEASES BY MEANS OF PERITONEOSCOPY

Abstract
The peritoneoscopy is a procedure of visualizing the peritoneal cavity and its contents through an optical instrument. With this method of examination. we can see the organs clearly through a small abdominal incision, also obtain biopsies with a midisturbance to the patient.
This procedure dates from years ago, it was disby Kelling in 1901 and Jacobaeus in 1910. Between these two dates other authors employed this method in various occasions.
The peritoneoscopy can be considered mostly as a medical procedure rather than a surgical, for its minimum disturbance and risk to patients. In ordiconditions the advantage of the peritoneoscopy over the exploratory laparotomy is: ¨ç local anestheia ¨è one centimeter incision ¨é minimum risk ¨ê minimum disturbance. The peritoneoscopy is. against indication: ¨ç cardiac and respiratory discompensation ¨è acute inflammation of the abdocavity ¨é abdominal adherence.
In this report, thirty two cases of the liver diseases were examined by peritoneoscopy. And the diagnosis was compaired with the other methods. Correct diagnosis was obtained in thirty one cases with the combination of peritoneoscopy and blood chemistry.
